One of the most unusual residents of the Barrens are the Walrus Folk. It is believed these creatures were first created as a magical experiment (perhaps by the ice witches). Now the have grown to form remote settlements near the shores of the ice flows. Although difficult to communicate with, once trust is established they can become a valuable ally in the Wilds.
